Guard + AI: rethinking the guarding contract.

6 min read · Axia

Security guards on patrol

On many sites, protection relies on guards alone. That is expensive for the customer, hard for the security company to supervise, and a single guard cannot see everything. The hybrid contract combines people and technology.

The principle

The guard stays where their presence matters: the entrance, the front desk, the most sensitive point. AI cameras watch the rest of the site and deter. A monitoring center watches continuously and directs the guard when something happens.

What the customer gains

  • Full coverage of the site, day and night
  • Patrol rounds and incidents that are proven, not just reported
  • A clear monthly report
  • One point of contact and one invoice

What the security company gains

  • Longer-lasting contracts, with hardware and a recurring service
  • Better-supported guards: verified alerts, panic button, backup from the center
  • Real supervision: clock-in, patrol rounds and responses measured
Watch outA hybrid contract is not about removing guards at all costs. It is about putting each resource where it is most useful, and proving it to the customer.

How to start

Start with one trial site: visit, coverage plan, installation, then three months of measurement. Compare incidents, false alarms and customer satisfaction before expanding.
